What payment options are available? TOP

The Red Bead Boutique accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express and Paypal. All online payments are processed through Paypal's secure system. You do not need a Paypal account to make purchases online as PayPal is also set up to accept credit cards to those who do not wish an account with them.
 
Our walk-in store accepts cash, local checks, VISA, and Mastercard credit and debit cards.

Shipping Address TOP

To help protect against fraud, the shipping address for all orders must be the same as the billing address for the credit card or, if paying through your PayPal account, must be a confirmed address in your account. This is for your protection as well as ours.

What does shipping cost? TOP
Most orders are charged a flat rate of $4.00.  Packages are mailed either USPS First Class or Priority in most cases.  Some items will have a shipping surcharge due to the weight or bulkiness of the item. Those exceptions will be noted in the item description. This surcharge will be added to the flat fee shipping charge.

How long will it take for my order to ship? TOP
We do our best to ship packages within 2 business days. Shipping days are Tuesday through Friday.

Will I be charged sales tax? TOP

Only orders originating from or shipping to California addresses will be charged 8.75% sales tax.

Can I order items I have seen in the store but are not yet on the website? TOP

Yes, you can email a list of items that you want to theredbead*at*hotmail.com and put "Order" in the subject line. Provide a complete description of what you want, how many you want, and provide a complete address.
 
Because orders placed outside of the automated system require special handling (and thus take much more time) there is a $25 minimum order.

Can I pay with a check or call in my credit card? TOP

Yes, but any orders placed outside the automated shopping cart are subject to a $25 minimum order. You will need to make a list of items that you want, include your complete address, and email the order to theredbead*at*hotmail.com. An invoice will be sent to you for your approval along with payment instructions. DO NOT send your credit card information in an email. This is not a secure method of transmitting information.

I have a California seller's permit, will I be charged sales tax? TOP

Not if you have a resale certificate on file with us before ordering.
 
California state law requires us to have a filled out and signed copy of a resale certificate on file in order to make your order(s) tax exempt. This certificate must be on file at the time of your order or you will be charged sales tax.
 
Only items purchased for resale will be tax-exempt.

Can I pick up my order at the store? TOP

No. All online orders must be shipped. Our system currently does not allow for Will Call.
 

What if a package is lost or stolen in transit? TOP

The Red Bead will take every precaution to safeguard your shipment (proper packing, addressing, etc.) and each package will have a delivery confirmation.

 

We insure all packages. We cannot be responsible, however, for lost or stolen packages where the delivery has been confirmed by the postal carrier.

What if I receive the wrong item? TOP

All packages are carefully checked before shipping but in the event there is a problem please contact The Red Bead Boutique Customer Service within 7 days of receipt of your order. Please include your Order ID, your complete name with contact information, (phone number an email) and a short description of the problem. We will contact you to resolve the matter.

What if something I've ordered is out of stock? TOP

We do our best to maintain the availability of all items as well as a current online inventory at The Red Bead Boutique but in the event we are out of stock of a particular item you have ordered, a credit will be issued to your credit card or PayPal account, whichever applies.

Will you backorder items? TOP

The Red Bead does not offer a backorder service at this time.  We do our best to only display items we have in stock. If we are out of stock of an item, please reorder at a later date.   

What if I want to return something? TOP

We want you to be happy with your purchase. In the event that there is something in your order you wish to return, please contact us for a Return Authorization number and address for return shipping. Returns without an RA number will not be accepted.

 

All returns must be received by us within 2 weeks of delivery confirmation and must include a copy of your invoice. All items must be in the original, unopened condition or credit will not be given. There are no returns for books, magazines, Soft Flex, cut items (such as chain or cording), kits, class fees and/or materials, or clearance items. A store credit voucher minus any shipping charges will be issued after approved receipt.  If there are any questions about your return, The Red Bead will contact you so include your contact information with your return.

 

Be sure that returns are well packed in either a sturdy box or well padded bubble mailer. We recommend you insure the package as we are not responsible for product returns that arrive damaged or are missing, and you will receive no credit for those items.

Can I cancel an order after it has been submitted? TOP

Only if we receive your cancellation before your order is pulled and packed.

Will The Red Bead ever cancel an order? TOP

We reserve the right to cancel or question any order that appears to be questionable or fraudulent. This is for your protection as well as ours.

Online Class Registration Information TOP

If you are purchasing items online in addition to the class(es) you are registering for you will need to place a separate order for them. The sales tax for class kits has already been calculated into the price so when finalizing your order for classes DO NOT check the box stating that you want your order shipped to a California address.  You will need to place a separate order for any merchandise needing sales tax added (and check the box that the order will be delivered to a CA address).
 
With the shopping cart that we use, there is no way to opt out of the shipping charges for items not being shipped (for example, classes). Class materials are not shipped but will be at the store the evening of the class. Your shopping cart will show a $4 shipping fee. Please print your receipt and bring it to class to be used as a credit in the store. The credit will only be given if it is not used for any other purpose such as shipping an order.
 
Choose your classes carefully. There are no refunds for class fees, however you are permitted to send someone in your place. See the Class Policies Page for additional details.
 
 
 

Can I redeem a gift certificate purchased in the Napa store in the online shopping cart? TOP

Not at this time. Currently there is no method for the shopping cart to recognize them. If you have a gift certificate that was purchased in the store you will either need to redeem it there in person during one of the open days or you can mail the gift certificate to the following address and receive an online store credit once it is received and logged in. We advise that you insure the gift certificate when you mail it as it is negotiable and cannot be replaced. In other words, it would be the same as losing cash.
